Something to think about:
while it’s true our current activity isn’t sustainable, this alone isn’t enough to prove it. it’s a harmful argument to make due to its ignorance. the crux of the argument lies in the fact that, though in the last ‘minute’ we’ve destroyed as much as we have, we’ve also created and put into action a mechanized and unnatural world. the hope is that our creations and new methods can function to build a new, sustainable environment. our planet supports billions more people than it ever has in history—and that’s not going to change. if we blindly reject industrialism and our current ways (as this post does) because they aren’t sustainable then all hope is lost. there is no going back. the only chance we have is to embrace our enhanced potential to alter the environment.

McQueen created his own ‘museum of woman-monsters’ in his second couture collection for Givenchy, Eclect Dissect, shown in July 1997. In the period leading up to to the show, his art director SImon Costin combined the late Victorian costumes McQueen was then looking at with with a series of animated skeletons and muscle men from the sixteenth-century anatomical plates of Andreas Vesalius in a series of collages.

damn. Im noticing a trend. gay guy, slightly overweight, completely obnoxious. he’s the hugest drama queen, exaggerates every story (and swears theyre all true), and monopolizes the conversation talking about himself. does shit like complaining that his 1-year-old-niece cries to demand attention and love.
YOU ARE THE BABY. I refuse to give in.
